Instructors

Share your knowledge with Oasis members as you teach a class in a subject for which you have a passion.

Computer Instructors

Join the team to help mature adults develop their confidence and computer skills through our Connections computer classes. You do not need to be an expert - patience and enthusiasm are what matter most. We train you and provide the course materials.

Reception Desk Volunteers

Meet interesting people, learn new skills, and help make the Oasis center a welcoming place! Oasis Reception Desk volunteers enter new members in our database, register members for classes and assist in sending class confirmations.

In-Person Class Coordinators

Oasis needs professional, friendly volunteers to help with class activities to include introducing the instructor, running A/V equipment, and distributing class evaluations for in-person classes. The classes you coordinate will be free of charge.

Virtual Class Coordinators

Help our online classes run smoothly on Zoom. This includes assisting the instructor, monitoring the chat box and taking attendance. The classes you coordinate will be free of charge.

Peer Leader

Periodically, we train volunteers to act as peer leaders for The Chronic Disease Self Management Program.

Intergenerational Tutoring

Help a child learn to read and get a better start in school. Volunteers work one-on-one as a tutor, mentor and friend. You choose the day/s and time/s that work for you during the school day. Tutoring is open to Adults 50+.

Special Events/Projects

Help at periodic special events at Oasis or in the community.
